Chapter 25

The seventh year sabbath

25:1 And the LORD spake to Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
25:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When ya'll come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath to the LORD.
25:3 Six years you will sow your field, and six years you will prune your vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
25:4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land, a sabbath for the LORD you will neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard.
25:5 That which grows of its own accord of your harvest you will not reap, neither gather the grapes of your vine undressed [for] it is a year of rest to the land.
25:6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for ya'll , and for your servant, and for your maid, and for your hired servant, and for your stranger that stayed temporarily with ya'll ,
25:7 And for your cattle, and for the beast that [are] in your land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
25:8 And you will number seven sabbaths of years to ya'll , seven times seven years ; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to ya'll forty and nine years.
25:9 Then shall you cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth [day] of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ya'll make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

Fifty year jubilee

25:10 And ya'll shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout [all ] the land to all the inhabitants thereof it shall be a jubilee to you; and ya'll shall return every man to his possession, and ya'll shall return every man to his family.
25:11 A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you ya'll shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself in it, nor gather [the grapes] in it of your vine undressed.
25:12 For it [is] the jubilee ; it shall be holy to you ya'll shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
25:13 In the year of this jubilee ya'll shall return every man to his possession.
25:14 And if you sell ought to your neighbor, or buy [ought] of your neighbor's According to the number of years after the jubilee hand, ya'll shall not oppress one another
25:15 you will buy of your neighbor, [and] fruits he shall sell to ya'll
25:16 According to the according to the number of years of the multitude of years you will increase fewness of years you will diminish the price of it for the price thereof, and according to the [according] to the number [of the years
25:17 ya'll shall not therefore oppress one another ; but ] of the fruits does he sell to ya'll . you will fear your God for I [am] the shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do LORD your God.
25:18 Wherefore ya'll them; and ya'll shall stay in the land in fruit, and ya'll shall eat your fill, and stay therein in safety.
25:19 And the land shall yield her safety.
25:20 And if ya'll shall say, What shall not sow, nor gather in our increase
25:21 shall we eat the seventh year ? behold, we Then I will command my blessing upon fruit for three years.
25:22 And ya'll shall sow the you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth eighth year, and eat [yet] of old fruit shall eat [of] the old [store].
25:23 The land shall until the ninth year ; until her fruits come in ya'll not be sold for ever for the land [is] with me.
25:24 And in all the land of your possession mine; for ya'll [are] strangers and sojourners ya'll shall grant a redemption for the and has sold away [some] of his possession, and if any land.
25:25 If your brother be waxen poor, of his kin come to redeem it, then sold.
25:26 And if the man have none to redeem it, and shall he redeem that which his brother himself be able to redeem it;
25:27 thereof, and restore the over plus to the man to whom Then let him count the years of the sale he sold it; that he may return to to restore [it] to him, then that which is sold shall his possession.
25:28 But if he be not able remain in the hand of him that has jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return to his bought it until the year of jubilee and in the possession.
25:29 And if a man sell a redeem it within a whole year after it is sold ; dwelling house in a walled city, then he may [within ] a full year may he redeem it. of a full year, then the house that [is] in the
25:30 And if it be not redeemed within the space walled city shall be established for ever shall not go out in the jubilee.
25:31 But the to him that bought it throughout his generations it houses of the villages which have no of the country they may be redeemed, and wall round about them shall be counted as the fields they shall go out in the jubilee.
25:32 houses of the cities of their possession, may Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, [and] the the Levites redeem at any time.
25:33 house that was sold, and the city of his And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the possession, shall go out in [the year of] jubilee their possession among the children of for the houses of the cities of the Levites [are] Israel.
25:34 But the field of the suburbs of perpetual possession.

Redeeming the poor

25:35 And if your brother their cities may not be sold ; for it [is] their be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with he be] a stranger, or a sojourner ; that he may ya'll ; then you will relieve him [yea, though live with ya'll .
25:36 Take you no usury your brother may live with ya'll .
25:37 You shall of him, or increase but fear your God ; that not give him your money upon usury, nor [am] the LORD your God, which brought you lend him your victuals for increase.
25:38 I forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you
25:39 And if your brother [that dwells] by the land of Canaan, [and] to be your God. ya'll be waxen poor, and be sold to ya'll ; bondservant
25:40 [But] as an hired servant, you will not compel him to serve as a [and] as a sojourner, he shall be with ya'll ,
25:41 And [then] shall he depart from ya'll , [and] shall serve ya'll to the year of jubilee [both] he and his children with him, and possession of his fathers shall he return.
25:42 shall return to his own family, and to the For they [are] my servants, which I not be sold as bondmen.
25:43 You shall not brought forth out of the land of Egypt they shall rule over him with rigor ; but shall bondmaids, which you shall have, [shall be] of fear your God.
25:44 Both your bondmen, and your the heathen that are round about
25:45 Moreover of the children of the you; of them shall ya'll buy bondmen and bondmaids. strangers that do temporary stays among you, of you, which they begat in your land them shall ya'll buy, and of their families that [are] with and they shall be your possession.
25:46 children after you, to inherit [them for] a And ya'll shall take them as an inheritance for your possession ; they shall be your bondmen Israel, ya'll shall not rule one over another for ever but over your brethren the children of with rigor.

Servants redeemed

25:47 And if a sojourner or dwells] by him wax poor, and sell himself stranger wax rich by ya'll , and your brother [that to the stranger [or] sojourner by ya'll , After that he is sold he may be redeemed or to the stock of the stranger's family
25:48 again; one of his brethren may redeem him redeem him, or [any] that is near of kin
25:49 Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may to him of his family may redeem him; or if he shall reckon with him that bought he be able, he may redeem himself.
25:50 And him from the year that he was sold to him to be according to the number of the year of jubilee and the price of his sale shall years, according to the time of an hired servant shall years [behind], according to it be with him.
25:51 If [there be] yet many them he shall give again the price of his redemption out And if there remain but few of the money that he was bought for.
25:52 years to the year of jubilee, then he shall count with him, him again the price of his [and] according to his years shall he give redemption.
25:53 [And] as a yearly hired servant shall he be rigor over him in your with him [and the other] shall not rule with sight.
25:54 And if he be not redeemed in these [years ], then he and his children with shall go out in the year of jubilee, [both] he, him.
25:55 For to me the children of Israel [are] servants ; they of the land of Egypt I [are] my servants whom I brought forth out [am] the LORD your God.
