Jehu destroys Baal worship

10:18 And Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE gathered all the people together, and said to them, Ahab (Hebrew: אַחְאָב‎, Modern: ʾAḥʾav King of Northern Israel Reign c. 871 – c.852 BC Died 852 BC Know as a wicked king served Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands a little; but JehuHebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE shall serve him much.
10:19 Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE did it in subtlety, to the intent that he might destroy the worshipers of Baal(/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands.
10:20 And Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal(/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands. And they proclaimed it.
10:21 And Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE sent through all Israel: and all the worshipers of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands; and the house of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands was full from one end to another.
10:22 And he said to him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshipers of Baal(/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands. And he brought them forth vestments.
10:23 And Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands, and said to the worshipers of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
Hebrew Yəhōwā, one vocalization of the Tetragrammaton יהוה‎ (YHWH), the proper name of the God of Israel in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. , but the worshipers of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands only.

10:24 And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE appointed eighty men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that let him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

And they struck them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands.
10:26 And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal (/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands, and burned them.
10:27 And they broke down the image of Baal(/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands, and brake down the house of Baal(/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands, and made it a drought house until this day.
10:28 So Jehu Hebrew: יֵהוּא, romanized: Yēhūʾ, meaning “Yahu is He”Reign 841–814 BCE Died 814 BCE destroyed Baal(/ˈbeɪ.əl, ˈbɑː.əl/), or Baʽal (Hebrew: בַּעַל baʿal) a fertility god whose cult was widespread in ancient Phoenician and Canaanite lands out of Israel.
