Jeremiah’s prayer during famine

14:1 The word of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

14:6 And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like jackals; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

14:9 Why should you be like a man astonished, like a mighty man that can’t save? yet you, O YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

14:12 When they fast, I won’t hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and a sacrifice, I won’t accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

concerning the prophets that prophesy in My Name, and I sent don’t them, yet they say, Sword and famine won’t be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
14:16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be thrown out in the streets of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלַם

because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have no one to bury them, them, their wives, or their sons, or their daughters: because I will pour their wickedness on them.

Complaint against lying prophets


14:17 Therefore you will say this word to them; Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let don’t them cease: for the virgin daughter of My people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
14:18 If I go out into the field, then see the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then see them that are sick with famine! yes, both the prophet and the priestכֹּהֵן
