Micah Chapter 4

The triumph and glory of Zion


4:1 But in the end of days it will so happened, that the mountain of the Temple of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

will be established as the most prominent the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills; and people will stream to it.
4:2 And many nations will come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the Mountain of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

4:3 And he will judge among many people, and decide for mighty nations from far away; They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning knives: Nation won’t lift up a sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore.
4:4 But they will sit each man under his vine and under his fig tree; and no one will make them afraid: for the mouth of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

will gather the lame, and I will gather the banished, and whoever I have afflicted;
4:7 And I will make the lame one into a remnant, and the one forced to wonder into a strong nation: and YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

4:8 And you, O Tower of the Flockמִגְדַּל־עֵדֶר
Transliteration miḡdāl-ʿēḏer Pronunciation mig-dawl’-ay’-der, Having compared the ingathering of the exiles to the collecting of lost sheep, the prophet refers to the “Ophel” one of Jerusalem’s strong holds as the tower of the flock” * from the Stone edition of the Tanach
, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion,  they will come back
to you; and the original kingdom will come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.
4:9 Now why do you cry out aloud? Isn’t there a king in your midst? Has your counselor perished? For pangs have taken you like a woman giving birth.
4:10 Be in pain, and groan, O daughter of Zion, like a woman giving birth: because now will you leave the city, and you will live in the field, and you will come to Babylon. There will you be rescued; There YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.
4:11 Now also many nations are gathered against you, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eyes see Zion.
4:12 But they don’t know the thoughts of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

4:13 Get up and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make your horn [like] iron, and I will make your hoofs [like] copper: and you will crush many people: and I will consecrate their ill-gotten gain to Adonaiאֲדֹנָי
