Isaiah Chapter 15

Moab’s lamentable state

15:1 The responsibility of Moabמוֹאָב‎

were destroyed in a single night, and brought to silence;
15:2 The people of Dibon: to the high places and Moabמוֹאָב‎

shall weep over Nebo, and over Medeba (meaning water of rest): all their heads shall be bald, and every beard shaved.
15:3 They shall dress themselves with sackcloth in the streets: everyone shall morn on the tops of their houses, and in their city squares, melting in tears.
15:4 And Heshbon and Elealeh shall cry out: their voice shall be heard as far as Jahaz: Even the warriors of Moabמוֹאָב‎

shall shout; his soul shouts for it.
15:5 My heart cries out for Moabמוֹאָב‎

15:6 Because the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay has withered away, the grass fails, there is nothing green.

15:8 For the outcry is heard all around the borders of Moabמוֹאָב‎

; even to Eglaim (meaning double reservoir), and the wailing to Beer-elim (meaning well of God).
