Jeremiah exhorts to repentance

22:1 So says YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

; Execute y’all judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place.
22:4 Because if y’all do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting on the throne of Davidדָּוִד

22:12 But he shall die in the place where they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.
22:13 Woe to him that builds his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and gives him nothing for his work;
22:14 That says, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cut him out windows; and it is covered with cedar, and painted with red.
22:15 shall you reign, because you closest [yourself] in cedar? didn’t your father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
22:16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: wasn’t this to know me? says YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

22:17 But your eyes and your heart aren’t but for your covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

22:23 O inhabitant of Lebanon, that make your nest in the cedars, how gracious shall you be when pangs come on you, the pain like of a woman in labor!
22:24 As I live, says YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

22:27 But to the land which they desire to return, there

22:28 Is this man Coniah (meaning YAHWEH will establish) a despised broken idol? Is he a vessel which is no pleasure? Why are they thrown out, he and his offspring, and are thrown into a land that they don’t know?
22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
