Proverbs Chapter 8

The voice of Wisdom

8:1 Doesn’t wisdom call out? and understanding will raise her voice?
8:2 She stands on top of the heights, along the way at the place where pathways meet.
8:3 She cries at the entrance to the gates of the city.
8:4 To you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of mankindאָדָם

8:5 Simple ones, understand cleverness: and, fools,  understand [in your] heart.
8:6 Listen; because I will speak noble things; and the opening of my lips [will be] right things.
8:7 Because my mouth will speak truthאֱמֶת

is an abomination to my lips.
8:8 All the words of my mouth are with righteousבְּצֶדֶק
Transliteration: bᵊṣeḏeq the right (natural, moral or legal); also (abstractly) equity or (figuratively) prosperity:—× even, (× that which is altogether) just(-ice), (un-)right(-eous) (cause, -ly, -ness). For more info click here

8:9 They [are] all straightforward to him that understands, and upright to those who find knowledge.
8:10 Accept my instruction, and not silver; [because] knowledge is better than fine gold.
8:11 Because wisdom is better than jewels; and all desires can’t be compared to it.

The nature of wisdom


8:12 I, wisdom live in cleverness, I provide knowledge and discretion.
8:13 The fear of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

8:14 Good advise and wisdom are mine: I [am] understanding; strength is with me.

8:17 I love those that love me; and those that search for me will find me.
8:18 Wealth and honor are with me;  enduring wealth and righteousnessוּצְדָקָה

8:20 I lead on the path of righteousnessצְדָקָה

8:28 when he made firm the clouds above: when he fortified the springs of the deep:
8:29 When He set the limit for sea and the waters wouldn’t transgress His word: when He marked out the foundations of the earth:
8:30 I was then I was near him, like one brought up [by him]: and I was His delight daily, always playing in His presence;
8:31 Playing in the inhabited part of His earth; and my delights are with the children of mankindאָדָם

8:36 But the one who sins against meוְחֹטְאִי
