Samson’s escape from Gaza

16:1 Then went Samsonשִׁמְשׁוֹן

to Gaza, and saw a harlot, a woman, there and went in to her.
16:2 The Gazites were told, saying, Samsonשִׁמְשׁוֹן

has come here. And they encircled [him] in, and set a trap for him all night at the gate of the city, and kept quiet all the night, saying, In the light of the morning, then we will kill him.

been dried, then shall I be weak, and be as any man.

brought to her seven green fresh bow-strings which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.

16:11 And he said to her, If they bind me fast with new ropes, that no work has been done, then will I be weak, and be as any human being.

16:16 And it so happened, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, [so] that his soul was annoyed to death ;
