Egypt’s confusion

19:1 The burden of Egypt. See, YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

rides on a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
19:2 And I will stir up Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight everyone against his brother, and every one against his neighbor; city against city, [and] kingdom against kingdom.
19:3 And the spiritרוּחַ

of Egypt shall lay waste in the middle of it; and I will swallow up the counsel of it: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the soothsayer.
19:4 And the Egyptians will I stop up to the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, says YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

19:5 And the waters shall dry up from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
19:6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; [and] the canals of blockade shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and water plants shall wither.
19:7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and everything sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no [more].
19:8 The fishermen shall mourn too, and all those that throw hooks into the rivers shall morn, and they that spread nets on the waters shall languish.
19:9 Also those that work in fine linen, and they that weave white linen, shall be put to shame.
19:10 And they shall be broken in the foundations of it, all that make wages and ponds for fish.

Absurdity of her rulers


19:11 Surely the rulers of Zoan (meaning place of departure) are fools, the counsel of the wise counselors of Pharaoh has become consumed: how do ya’ll say to Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
19:12 Where are they? where are your wise men? and let them tell you now, and let them know what YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

in the middle of it: and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work of it, like a drunk man [that] staggers in his vomit.
19:15 Neither shall there be [any] work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or bulrush, may do.
19:16 On that day shall Egypt be like a women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

shall strike Egypt: he shall strike and heal it: and they shall return even to YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

shall be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
19:24 On that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, [even] a blessing in the middle of the land:
19:25 Whom YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
