25:1 O YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; because you have done wonderful things; your plans from long ago are steadfast and truth.
25:2 Because you have made the city into a pile;  a fortified town into a ruin: a palace of strangers to be a city no more;  never to be rebuilt.
25:3 So shall the strong people honor you, the city of the oppressing nations shall fear you.
25:4 Because You have been a fortress to the poor, a fortress to the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm, a shade from the burning heat, when the wind of the oppressors are like a storm [against] the wall.
25:5 You shall reduce the commotion of strangers, like the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shade of a cloud: the song of the ruthless ones shall be stilled.
25:6 And on this mountain shall YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

of hosts make to all people a feast of a feast of rich food, a feast of well-matured wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-matured wines strained clear.
25:7 And He will destroy on this mountain the faces [wearing] veils, that were covering of all the people, and that is spread over all nations.
25:8 He will wipe out death forever* Jews will no longer be killed by their persecutors, but death from natural causes will continue to occur (Radak) Alternatively: All death will be eliminated (Rashi) – From the Artscroll English Tanach; and Adonaiהָאָדוֹן

25:9 And they shall say on that day, see, this is our Elohim אֱלֹהֵינוּ

your powerful walls he shall topple, level, [and] bring to the ground, into the dust.
