Isaiah Chapter 21

Vision of the fall of Babylon

21:1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As windstorms in the south pass through; so it comes from the desert, from a terrible land.
21:2 A severe vision was told to me; the treacherous dealer deals treacherously, and the plunder plunders. Go up, O Elam (meaning eternity): attack, O Media (or Medes or Madai); all the sighing of it have I made to stop.
21:3 So are my loins filled with pain: pains have taken hold on me, like the pains of a woman that gives birth: I was bent down at the hearing [of it]; I was dismayed at the seeing [of it].
21:4 My mind wandered, horror frighted me: the night of my desire has He put into fear to me.
21:5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: y’all rulers, get up and anoint the shield.
21:6 Because YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
Hebrew Yəhōwā, one vocalization of the Tetragrammaton יהוה‎ (YHWH), the proper name of the God of Israel in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. has said this to me, Go, stand a watchman, let him announce what he sees.
21:7 And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he listened diligently with great attention:
21:8 And he cried like a lion: My lord, I stand continually on the watchtower by day, and I have stood on guard every night:
21:9 And, see, here comes a chariot of men, [with] a couple of cavalry. And he answered and said, Babylon (Iraq) has fallen, has fallen; and all the carved images of her gods He has broken in pieces on the ground.
21:10 O my threshing, and the son of my floor: that which I have heard from YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

of hosts, Elohimאלֹהֵי
In Hebrew grammatical construct is a way of connecting noun-noun pairs. In english, we use “of”, but in Hebrew there are quite a few ways of doing this. של is usually used in place of “of” in Hebrew, but in this case, we modify the first word, with the suffix “ey” (which is what we do for plural words, which God’s name is in Torah), i.e. God of Abraham becomes Elohei Avraham. also can be of my – See Elohim for more info click here
of Israel, have I told to you.

Repentance of Edom

21:11 The burden (or prophecy) of Dumah (meaning silence). He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
21:12 The watchman said, The morning arrives, and the night too: if y’all will ask, y’all ask: return, come.

Prophecy on the Arabs

21:13 The burden (or prophecy) on Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall y’all pass the night, O y’all caravans of Dedanim.
21:14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema (meaning desert) y’all bring water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that escaped.
21:15 Because they escaped for fear of the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the heaviness of war.
21:16 For YAHWEH יְהֹוָה‎

has said to me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:

21:17 And the remainder of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar (meaning dark), shall be reduced: because YAHWEH יְהֹוָה‎
