Obadiah Chapter 1

Obadiah’s vision

1:1 The vision of Obadiah(/ˌoʊbəˈdaɪ.ə/; Hebrew: עֹבַדְיָה – ʿŌḇaḏyā or עֹבַדְיָהוּ‎ – ʿŌḇaḏyāhū; “servant of Yah”, or “Slave of Yah [YHWH]”), also known as Abdia. So says Adonaiאֲדֹנָי Hebrew pronunciation: [ʾăḏōnāy], lit. transl. My Lords, Pluralis majestatis taken as singular) is the possessive form of adon (“Lord”), along with the first-person singular pronoun enclitic.
