Obadiah’s vision

1:1 The vision of Obadiah(/ˌoʊbəˈdaɪ.ə/; Hebrew: עֹבַדְיָה – ʿŌḇaḏyā or עֹבַדְיָהוּ‎ – ʿŌḇaḏyāhū; “servant of Yah”, or “Slave of Yah [YHWH]”), also known as Abdia. So says Adonaiאֲדֹנָי
Hebrew pronunciation: [ʾăḏōnāy], lit. transl. My Lords, Pluralis majestatis taken as singular) is the possessive form of adon (“Lord”), along with the first-person singular pronoun enclitic. As with Elohim, Adonai’s grammatical form is usually explained as a plural of majesty.For more info click here

  concerning Edomאֱדוֹם
was an ancient kingdom in Transjordan, located between Moab to the northeast, the Arabah to the west, and the Arabian Desert to the south and east. Most of its former territory is now divided between present-day southern Israel and Jordan. Edom appears in written sources relating to the late Bronze Age and to the Iron Age in the Levant.

1:2 See, I have made you inferior among the nations: you are greatly despised.
1:3 The wickedness of your heart has mislead you, living in the clefts of the rocks, [in] his lofty abode; Saying in his heart, Who will bring me down to  earth?
1:4 Even if you raise [your nest] like the eagle, or you set your nest among the stars, I will bring you down from there, says YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

1:5 If thieves come to you, if robbers of the night, (how utterly
cut off you are !) wouldn’t they steal [only] till they had enough? if the grape gatherers came to you, wouldn’t they leave gleanings?
1:6 How has Esau been searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!
1:7 All the men of your covenant have dismissed you even to the border: the men that were at peaceשָׁלוֹם

with you have deceived you, [and] prevailed over you; [Those who eat] your bread have laid a trap under you: there is no understanding in him.

1:9 And your mighty ones, will be afraid, so that each one
will be cut off from of the Mountain of Esau by the slaughter.

disgrace will envelop you, and you will be cut off forever.
1:11 On the day of your standing on the other [side], on the day that the strangers captured his wealth
, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots for Jerusalem, you too [were] like one of them.
1:12 But you shouldn’t have looked on the day of your brother on the day of he estrangement; nor should you have rejoiced over the sons of Judah in the day of their destruction; nor should you have spoken proudly in the day of misfortune.
1:13 You shouldn’t have entered into the gate of My people in the day of their calamity; nor should you have looked on his evil on the day of his calamity, nor extended [you hands] to his wealth on the day of their calamity;
1:14 Nor should you have stood in the crossroads, to cut off those of his that escaped; Nor should you have locked up his survivors in the day of misfortune.
1:15 For the day of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

upon all the nations is close: like you have done, it will be done to you: your reward will return on your own head!
1:16 For as y’all have drank on My holy mountain, so will all the nations drink continually, yea, they will drink and be confounded, and they will be as [if] they had not been.

Salvation of Jacob


1:17 But on mount Zion will be refuge, and it will be holy; and the house of Jacobיַעֲקֹב

1:19 And [those of ]the southland will inherit the Mountian of Esau; and [those of] the lowlands [will inherit] the Philistines: and they will inherit the fields of Ephraimאֶפְרַיִם
(/ˈiːfriːəm/;ʾEp̄rayīm, in pausa: אֶפְרָיִם‎ ʾEp̄rāyīm). The Book of Genesis related the name “Ephraim” to the Hebrew root פָּרָה (pārā), meaning “to be fruitful”. This referring to Joseph’s ability to produce children, specifically while in Egypt (termed by the Torah as the land of his affliction). 1:21 And saviors will ascend mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom will be YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
