Glory of Zion


35:1 The wildernessמִדְבָּר

and the wasteland will rejoice over them; and the desert will be glad, and blossom like a rose.
35:2 It will blossom abundantly, and rejoice with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon (meaning whiteness) will be given to her, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon, they will see the glory of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

35:3 Strengthen weak hands, and steady feeble knees (weak from fear).
35:4 Say to those that are fainthearted, Be strong, and unafraid: look, your Elohim אֱלֹהֵיכֶם

35:5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
35:6 Then will the lame man leap like a gazelle, and the tongue of the mute will sing: because in the wildernessבַמִּדְבָּר

springs will have broken out, and streams in the desert.
35:7 And the burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation where jackals rested will become grassland with reeds and wetland plants.

35:8 And a highway will be there, and a roadוְדֶרֶךְ

; the unclean will not travel it; but it will be for them (Israel): the traveler, even fools, will not go astray.
35:9 No lion will be there, or any ravenous animal will go up on it, it will not be found there; but the redeemed will walk there:
35:10 And the redeemed of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
