Zechariah Chapter 10

God to be sought out

10:1 Ya’ll ask for rain from YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

will make storm clouds, and give them rain showers , herbs to each one in the field.
10:2 Because the idols have spoken words of nothingness, and the diviners have seen a falsehood, and dreamers speak lies ; they comfort in vain: So they wondered like sheep, They are afflicted because there is no shepherd.

God visits for sin yet he will save


10:3 My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the rams: for YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

10:4 From Him [came] the cornerstone, from Him the peg, from Him the war bow, from Him every oppressor will come out together.
10:5 And they will be like warriors, who tromp down their enemies in the mud of the streets in the battle: and they will fight, because YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

10:6 And I will strengthen the house of Judahיְהוּדָה

10:7 And Ephraim אֶפְרַיִם
(/ˈiːfriːəm/;ʾEp̄rayīm, in pausa: אֶפְרָיִםʾEp̄rāyīm). The Book of Genesis related the name “Ephraim” to the Hebrew root פָּרָה (pārā), meaning “to be fruitful”. This referring to Joseph’s ability to produce children, specifically while in Egypt (termed by the Torah as the land of his affliction). The name Ephraim can therefore be translated as “I will be fruitful”, with the prefix of aleph (א‎) indicating the first person, singular, future tense, Also name for an Israelite tribe. will be like a mighty warrior, and their heart will glad like [with] wine.  And their son’s will see it, and be glad; their heart will rejoice in YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

10:8 I will whistle for them and gather them; because I have redeemed them: and they will be as numerous as they were before.
10:9 And I will scatter them among the nations: and they will remember Me in distant places; and they will live with their sons, then return.
10:10 I will bring them back from the land of Egyptמִצְרַיִם

10:11 And trouble will pass over the sea and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up: and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the staff of Egyptמִצְרַיִם
