Shishak invades Judah

12:1 AND it so happened, when the kingdom of Rehoboamרְחַבְעָם
Rəḥaḇʿām; Greek: Ροβοάμ, Rovoam; Latin: Roboam, transl. ”an enlarged people” was, according to the Hebrew Bible, the first monarch of the Kingdom of Judah after the split of the united Kingdom of Israel. He was a son of and the successor to Solomon and a grandson of David.for more info click here

12:4 And he captured the cities defense in Judah, and came to Jerusalem.

12:6 And the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

12:8 But they shall be his servants; that they may know My service, and the service of the kingdoms of the lands.

Shishak spoils the temple


12:9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

made bronze shields in their place, and deposited them into the hands of the chiefs of the runners, that kept the gate of the king’s house.
12:11 And when the king entered into the house of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

12:12 And when he was humbled, the wrath of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
