, to listen to the cry and the prayer which your servant prays before You:

6:20 That Your eyes may be open toward this house day and night, toward the place of it You have said that You have said to put your name there; to listen to the prayer which your servant prays toward this place.
6:21 You shall listen therefore to the humble prayers of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, that they shall pray toward this place: You shall hear from Your dwelling place, even from Heaven; and when you hear and forgive.
6:22 If a man shall sin against his neighbor, and he shall lift up an oath on him to make him swear, and the oath shall come and swear before Your altar in this house;
6:23 Then You shall hear  from Heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, by repay the wicked, by bringing his way on his own head; and to justifying the righteous, by giving to him according to his righteousness.
6:24 And if Your people Israel shall be beaten before the enemy, because they have sinned against You; and shall return and confess your name, and pray and make humble prayer before You in this house;
6:25 Then you shall hear  from the Heaven, and shall forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and shall cause them to return to the land which you given to them and to their fathers.
6:26 When the heaven shall be shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; and if they pray toward this place, and confess Your name, turning back from their sin because You have afflicted them;
6:27 Then you shall hear  from Heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, and of Your people Israel, because You have taught them the good way, in which they should walk; and send rain upon Your land, which You have given to Your people for an inheritance.
6:28 When there shall be famine in the land, when there is pestilence, blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars; when its enemies have distressed it in the land in its gates; with any plague and any sickness.
6:29 Then what prayer or what supplication shall be made for any man, or of all Your people Israel, when they know his own plague and his own grief, and shall spread out his palms toward this house:
6:30 Then You shall hear  from Heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and shall give to every man according to all his ways, because You  know his heart ; (You only know the hearts of the sons of men:)
6:31 So that they may fear You, to walk in Your ways, so long as they live in the land which You have gave to our fathers.
6:32 Also to the stranger , which is not of Your people Israel, but he has come from a far country for Your great name’s sake, and Your mighty hand, and your stretched out arm; if they come and pray toward this house;
6:33 Then hear you from Heaven, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to You; so that all people of the earth may know your name, and so as to fear You, as does Your people Israel, and to know that Your name is called on in this house which I have built.
6:34 When Your people go out to war against their enemies in the way that You shall send them, and they pray to You toward this city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name;
6:35 Then You shall hear  from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and shall maintain their cause.
6:36 If they sin against You, (for there is not a man who doesn’t sin,) and you shall be angry with them, and give them up before their enemies, and their captors carry them away captives to a land far off or near;
6:37 and they shall return to their heart to their heart in the land from which they are taken captive, and shall turn back and humbly pray to You in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have acted perversely and have done wickedly;
6:38 If they shall turn back to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been taken captive, and pray toward their land, which You gave to their fathers, and toward the city which You have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for Your name:
6:39 Then You shall hear from the Heaven, from Your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive Your people which have sinned against You.
