Ecclesiastes Chapter 12

Creator to be remembered


12:1 Now remember your Creator while you are young, before the evilהָרָעָה
Transliteration: hārāʿâ – bad or (as noun) evil (natural or moral):—adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, displease(-ure), distress, evil((-favoredness), man, thing), grief(-vous), harm, heavy, hurt(-ful), ill (favored), mischief(-vous), misery, naught(-ty), noisome, sad(-ly), sore, sorrow, trouble, vex, wicked(-ly, -ness, one), worse(-st), wretchedness, wrong. 12:2 before the sun, the light, the moon,  the stars, grow dark, and the clouds return after the rain:
12:3 On the day when the guards of the house will tremble, and the strong men will bow themselves, and the grinders are idle they are few, and those who look out of the windows are darkened,
12:4 And the doors
in the streets are shut, when the sound of the mill is low, and one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of song will be brought low;
12:5 when they too will fear a height, and terror on the roadבַּדֶּרֶךְ

, and the almond tree blossoms, and the grasshopper becomes a burden, and the desire will fail: so man goes to his everlasting home, while the mourners go about the streets:
12:6 Before the silver cord is snapped, and the golden bowl is crushed, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel smashed at the pit.* The body near death is likened to the malfunctioning machinery of a well. also imparted knowledge taught the people knowledge; he listened, and sought out, and arranged many proverbs.
12:10 Koheletקֹהֶלֶת
