Job Chapter 28

Knowledge of natural things

28:1 Surely there is a mine for the silver, and a place for gold where they refine it.
28:2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and bronze is smelted out of the stone.

28:9 He puts forth his hand on the flint; He upends the mountains by the roots.
28:10 He breaks open rivers among the rocks; and his eye sees every precious thing.
28:11 He hinders the floods from overflowing; and He brings the hidden thing [to] light.
28:12 But as for wisdom where can it be found? and where is the place of understanding?
28:13 Man doesn’t know its value; neither is it found in the land of the living.
28:14 The deep says, It isn’t in me: and the sea says, It isn’t with me.
28:15 Fine gold, can’t be given in exchange for it: and its
price  can’t be weighed in silver for it.
28:16 It can’t be compared to the gold of Ophir, or to precious onyx, or the sapphire.
28:17 The gold and the crystal can’t equal it: and the exchange of it can’t be for a vessel of fine gold.
28:18 C
oral or Crystal can’t be considered: for the price of wisdom is far above rubies.
28:19 The topaz of Ethiopia can’t be compared to it,
pure gold has no comparison with to it .
28:20  Where
does wisdom come from then? and where [is] the place of understanding?
28:21 Seeing it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the birds of the heavens.

28:26 When He made a decree for the rain, and a way for
the thunder of the lightning:
28:27 Then He saw it, and declared it; He prepared it, yes, and searched it out.

he said to man , See, the fear of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
