Noah enters the ark

7:1 And YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
Hebrew Yəhōwā, one vocalization of the Tetragrammaton יהוה‎ (YHWH), the proper name of the God of Israel in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. , Come you and all your house into the ark; for y’all I have seen righteous (tzadeek) before me in this generation.

7:2 Of every clean beast you shall take to you by sevens, male and his female; and beast that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
7:3 Of birds also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
7:4 For after seven days, and I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and will wipe every living substance that I have made from off the face of the earth.
7:5 And Noahנֹחַ

7:6 And Noahנֹחַ

was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7:7 And Noahנֹחַ

went in, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
7:8 Of clean beast, and of beast that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that crawls on the earth.
7:9 There went in two and two to the ark, the male and the female as Elohimאֱלֹהִים

7:10 And in time, after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
7:11 In the sixth hundred year of Noahנֹחַ

‘s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep risen, and the windows of the heavens were opened up.
7:12 And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
7:13 In this same day entered Noahנֹחַ

7:14 They, and every animal after his kind, and all cattle after their kind, and every crawling thing that crawls on the earth after his kind, and every bird after his kind, every bird of every sort.
7:15 And they went in to Noahנֹחַ

7:16 And they that went in, went male and female of all flesh, as Elohimאֱלֹהִים

The flood upon the earth


7:17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and was lifted up above the earth.
7:18 And the waters prevailed, and were greatly increased on the earth; and the ark went on the face of the waters.
7:19 And the waters were strong, exceedingly violent on the earth; and all the high mountains, that were under the heavens, were covered.
7:20 The waters grew strong, fifteen cubits noun — an ancient measure of length, approximately equal to the length of a forearm. It was typically about 18 inches or 44 cm, though there was a long cubit of about 21 inches or 52 cm. — ORIGIN Middle English : from Latin cubitum ‘elbow, forearm, cubit’. upward and the mountains were covered.
7:21
And all flesh died that moved on the earth, both of bird, and of cattle, and of animal, and of every crawling thing that crawls on the earth, and every man:
7:22
All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
7:23 And every living thing that was on the face of the earth was wiped away, from man, to cattle, and the crawling things, and the fowl of the heavens; and they were wiped from the earth: and Noahנֹחַ

only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
7:24
And the waters were strong on the earth one hundred and fifty days.
