Job Chapter 34

Elihu reprimands Job

34:1 Then Elihu answered and said,
34:2
O wise men hear my words, ; and listen to me, ya’ll that know.
34:3 For the ear tries words, like the mouth taste food.
34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know between us what is pleasant.
34:5 Because Job has said, I am righteous: and EL אֵל
‎Transliteration:ēl Pronunciation:ale — masculine noun — God, god-like one, mighty one occurs 245 times in 235 verses in the WLC Hebrew click here
has taken away my right.
34:6 Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable [yet I am] without offense.
34:7 What man [is] like Job, who drinks up mocking like water?
34:8 Who goes in company with those who work iniquity, and walks with wicked men?
34:9 Because he has said, It is no benefit for a man when he is acceptable to Elohimאֱלֹהִים
romanized: ʾĔlōhīm: [(ʔ)eloˈ(h)im]), the plural of אֱלוֹהַּ‎ (ʾĔlōah), is a Hebrew word meaning “gods”. Although the word is plural, in the Hebrew Bible it most often takes singular verbal or pronominal agreement and refers to a single deity particularly the God of Israel In other verses it refers to the singular gods of other nations or to deities in the plural A name for GOD — God The Creator
.

Omnipotent God cannot be unjust

34:10 So hear me ya’ll men of heart: far be it from Elohimאֱלֹהִים
romanized: ʾĔlōhīm: [(ʔ)eloˈ(h)im]), the plural of אֱלוֹהַּ‎ (ʾĔlōah), is a Hebrew word meaning “gods”. , to do wickedness; and from Shaddaiשַׁדַּי
romanized: Šaddāy; or Shaddai is one of the names of the God of Israel. El Shaddai is conventionally translated into English as God Almighty (Deus Omnipotens in Latin, Arabic: الله عزوجل, romanized: ʾAllāh ʿazzawajal), but its original meaning is unclear. , that he should commit iniquity.
34:11 Because H
e repays man’s deeds to him, and causes every man to attain according to his conduct.
34:12 Yes, certainly EL אֵל

won’t do wickedly, nor will Shaddaiשַׁדַּי
romanized: Šaddāy; or Shaddai is one of the names of the God of Israel. distort judgment.
34:13 Who has given Him command over the earth? or who placed the whole world [under Him]?
34:14 If He has set His heart against a man, [if] He gathers
his spirit and his breath to Himself;
34:15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall return to dust.
34:16 Now if [you have] understanding, hear this: listen to the sound of my words.
34:17 Shall even he that hates justice regulate it? or will you condemn a more mighty Righteous One?
34:18 who says to a king, O worthless one? and to nobles, ya’ll are ungodly?
34:19 [Much less] to Him that doesn’t tolerate the sight of nobles, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of His hands.
34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be shaken at midnight, and they pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
34:21 Because his eyes are on the ways of man, and he sees all his steps.
34:22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, to hid those workers of iniquity.
34:23 Because He doesn’t impose too much on man; so that they should  come before God in judgment.
34:24 He will break mighty men
in pieces without investigation , and stand others in their place.
34:25 So He knows their works, and He overturns them in the night, so that they are ruined.
34:26 He strikes them as wicked men for all to see;
34:27 Because they turned back from following Him, and would not consider any of His ways:
34:28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come to Him, and He hears the cry of the afflicted.
34:29 When He gives rest, who then can condemn? and when He hides [His face], who then can see him?  against a nation, or on an  individual all are alike:
34:30 from the
reigning ungodly men , from being traps for the people.
34:31 Can anyone say to EL אֵל
‎Transliteration:ēl Pronunciation:ale — masculine noun — God, god-like one, mighty one occurs 245 times in 235 verses in the WLC Hebrew click here
, I have suffered enough, I pledge not to offend anymore:
34:32 Besides what I see, You teach me: if I have done iniquity, I won’t do it again.
34:33 [Must] He have your [consent] to repay you, because you refused [it]?   You must choose; and not I: so say what you know.
34:34 Men of heart tell me, and let a wise man listen to me.
34:35 Job has spoken without knowledge, and his words were without understanding.
34:36 My longing [is that] Job may be examine to the end because of his answers [are] like
men of iniquity.
34:37 For he adds rebellion to his sin, he claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against EL אֵל
