Micah Chapter 7

Goodness has disappeared

7:1 Woe is me! Because I am like the leftover of the summer fruits, like
gleanings of the grape of the harvest: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desires a ripe fruit.
7:2 The holy one has disappeared out of the earth: and the upright isn’t among mankind: they all lie in ambush for blood; each man
traps his brother with a net.
7:3 That they expect to benefit from the evil of their hands, the ruler asks
for a bribe, and the judge has a share in the payment ; and the nobleman speaks his selfish desires; and they weave it together.
7:4 The best of them is like a brier: the most upright is like a
hedge of thorns : the day of your watchmen and your punishment is coming; now you will become perplexed.
7:5 Don’t y’all trust in a friend, don’t
ya’ll put confidence in an offical: keep the doors of your mouth from the one that lies [in] your bosom.
7:6 For the son disgraces the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his household.

, because I have sinned against Him, until He take up my cause, and execute judgment for me: He will bring me out into the light, and I will see His righteousness.
7:10 Then my enemy
will see it , and shame will cover her who said to me, Where is YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

? my eyes will look on her: now will she be trampled down like the mud of the streets.
7:11 The day that your walls are  built again, that day is far away
in distant time.
7:12 In that day also he will come even to y’all from Assyria, and to the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
7:13 But the land will become a waste because of them that live in it, for the fruit of their deeds.
7:14 Sheperd your people with Your rod, the flock of Your heritage, living alone in the wood, in the middle of Carmel: let them
graze in Bashan and Gileadגִּלְעָד

7:15 As to the days when you left the land of Egypt will I show to it marvelous things.
7:16 The nations will see and be ashamed at all their power: they will put their hand over their mouth, their ears will be deaf.
7:17 They will lick the dust like a snake, like worms of the earth: they will fear YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

7:18 Who [is] a God like You, that pardons iniquity, and overlooks transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He doesn’t strengthen His anger forever, because He delights [in] mercy.
