Moses exhorts to obedience

11:1 Then you will love YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:2 Y’all should know today that I don’t speak with your sons who haven’t known, and who haven’t seen the chastisement of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his out-stretched arm,
11:3 And His miracles, and His deeds, that He performed in the middle of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land ;
11:4 And what He did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots ; how He made the water of the Sea of Reeds to flow over them when they pursued you, and [how] YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:5 Also [you know] that which He did to you in the wilderness, until y’all came to this place ;
11:6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reubenרְאוּבֵן

when the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance at their feet, in the middle of all Israel
11:7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:8 So shall y’all observe all the commandments which I command you today, that y’all may be strong, and go in and possess the land, which y’all are crossing, to possess it;
11:9 And so that y’all may prolong [your] days on the land, which YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

swore to your forefathers to give to them and to their offspring, a land flowing with milk and honey.
11:10 ¶ Because the land, where you go in to possess it, [is] not like the land of Egypt, that y’all left, where you sowed your seed, and watered [it] with your foot, like a garden of herbs
11:11 But the land, where y’all are crossing over to possess it, [is] a land of hills and valleys,  from the rain of the heavens it drinks water;
11:12 A land that YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:13 ¶ And it shall so happen, if y’all shall listen carefully to my commandments which I command you today, to love YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:14 Then I will give the rain of your land in its proper time, the early rain and the late rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your wine, and your oil.
11:15 And I will provide grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be satisfied.
11:16 Beware for yourselves, unless your heart be enticed, and y’all turn astray, and serve other gods, and worship them;
11:17 And [then] YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

‘S anger  burned against you, and He shut up the heavens, so that there was no rain, and that the land yield not its fruit ; and y’all perish quickly from off the good land that YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:18 Then shall y’all lay up these words of My upon your heart and upon your soul, and bind them for a sign on your arm, that they may be an ornament between your eyes.
11:19 And y’all shall teach them your sons, discussing them when you sit in your house, and when you walk on the path, when you lie down, and when you get up.
11:20 And you will write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates
11:21 So that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your sons, in the land that YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:22 Because if y’all shall diligently observe this commandment which I command you, to do it, to love YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

will drive out all these nations from before you, and y’all shall drive out greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
11:24 Everyplace where the soles of your foot shall walk shall be yours from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, until to the Western Sea shall be your border.
11:25 No man shall stand up against you. YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

11:26 See, I place before you this day a blessing and a curse ;
11:27 A blessing, if y’all listen to the commandments of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

brings y’all to the land where you go to possess it, that you will put the blessing on Mount Gerizim, and the curse on Mount Ebal.
11:30 Are they not on the other side of the Jordan, on the road of the sunset, in the land of the Canaanites, which live in the Arabah opposite Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh ?
11:31 Because y’all are crossing the Jordan to go in to possess the land that YAHWEH יְהֹוָה
