Deuteronomy Chapter 10

Restoration of the tablets.

10:1 At that time YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

said to me, you carve two
stone tablets like the first ones, and come up to Me to the mount, and make yourself a wooden ark.
10:2 And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke, and you will put them in the ark.
10:3 And I made an ark [of] cedarwood, and carved two
stone tablets like the first tablets, and went up into the mount, with the two tablets in my hand.
10:4 And He wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the Ten Statements, which YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

10:5 And I turned and came down from the mount, and placed the tablets in the ark that I had made ; and they remained there, like YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

10:6 And the sons of Israel took their journey from Beeroth-bene-jaakan to Mosera there Aaron Aaron is an English masculine given name. In Hebrew grammatical construct is a way of connecting noun-noun pairs. In english, we use “of”, but in Hebrew there are quite a few ways of doing this. של is usually used in place of “of” in Hebrew, but in this case, we modify the first word, with the suffix “ey” (which is what we do for plural words, which God’s name is in Torah), i.e. God of Abraham becomes Elohim Avraham.
