The stated feasts

16:1 Observe the month of Avivאביב
means “barley ripening”, and by extension “spring season” in Hebrew. It is also used as a given name, surname, and place name, as in Tel Aviv. The first month of the year is called the month of Aviv in the Pentateuch. The month is called Nisan in the book of Esther, and in subsequent post-exilic history up to the present day. 16:3 You will eat no leavened bread with it; seven days will you eat unleavened bread with it, [even] the bread of affliction. For you came out of the land of Egypt in haste that you may remember the day when you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.
16:4 And there shall be no leavened bread seen with y’all in all your borders seven days ; or shall there [any] of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning.

‘all will number seven weeks. When the sickle begins to [reap] in the standing grain you will begin to number the seven weeks.
