Deuteronomy Chapter 9

Moses recalls the rebellions of the sons of Israel.

9:1 Hear, O Israel today you [are] about to cross the Jordan , to go in to drive out nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the heavens,
9:2 A great and tall people, the sons of Anakimעֲנָקִים‎

9:5 Not because of your righteousness, or the uprightness of your heart, that you go to possess their land. But because of the wickedness of these nations YAHWEH יְהֹוָה‎
