Deuteronomy Chapter 12

Moses lays down certain laws and judgements

12:1 These [are] the statutes and judgments, which y’all shall observe to do in the land, which YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

Elohimאלֹהֵי
In Hebrew grammatical construct a way of connecting noun-noun pairs. In english, we use “of”, but in Hebrew there are quite a few ways of doing this. של is usually used in place of “of” in Hebrew, but in this case, we modify the first word, with the suffix “ey” (which is what we do for plural words, which God’s name is in Torah), i.e. God of Abraham becomes Elohei Avraham. 12:2 Y’all shall completely destroy all the places, where the nationsהַגּוֹיִם

12:3 And y’all shall tear down their altars, and smash their pillars, and burn their groves with fire ; and y’all shall cut down the carved images of their gods, and destroy their names of them from that place.

12:15 Only with all the desire of your souls shall you sacrifice and eat meat within all your gates according to the blessing of YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

the tithe within your gates, of your grain, or of your wine, or of your oil, or the firstlings of your herds or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vowed, nor your freewill offerings, or heave offering of your hand
