Job Chapter 21

Job shows his reason to be grieved

21:1 But Job answered and said,
21:2 Listen carefully to what I say, and let this be your comfort.
21:3 Bear with me while I speak; and after I have spoken, then ridicule.
21:4 [As] for me, is my complaint aimed to a man? and if it were so, why shouldn’t I be impatient?
21:5 Turn toward me, and be shocked, and put your hand on your mouth.
21:6 And if I recall [correctly] I am upset, and trembling takes hold of my flesh.
21:7 Why do the wicked live? They become old, yes, become powerful?
21:8 Their offspring are established in their sight with them, and their lineage before their eyes.

, that we should serve Him? And what will we gain, if we pray to Him?
21:16 Look, their good future isn’t in their hands: the advice of the wicked is far from me.
21:17 How often is the lamp of the wicked put out! and how often does
their destruction come on them? He distributes sorrow in his anger.
