40:1
Comfort, comfort My people, says your Elohim אֱלֹהֵיכֶם

40:15 See, the nations are like a drop of a bucket, and are counted like the small dust of the balance: look, he takes up the isles like a very little thing.
40:16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the animals of it sufficient for a burnt offering.
40:17 All nations before him are like nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

40:19 The workman melts a carved image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold, and casts silver chains.
40:20 He that is so impoverished that he has no oblation chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks to him a skilled workman to prepare a carved image, that shall not be moved.
40:21 Haven’t y’all known? haven’t y’all heard? hasn’t it been told you from the beginning? haven’t y’all understood from the foundations of the earth?
40:22 It is he that sits on the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants of it are like grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in:
40:23 That brings the rulers to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as vanity.
40:24 Yes, they shall not be planted; yes, they shall not be sown: yes, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow on them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away like straw.
40:25 To whom then will y’all liken me, or shall I be equal? says the Holy One.

The people are comforted


40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.
40:27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hidden from YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

In Hebrew grammatical construct is a way of connecting noun-noun pairs. In english, we use “of”, but in Hebrew there are quite a few ways of doing this. של is usually used in place of “of” in Hebrew, but in this case, we modify the first word, with the suffix “ey” (which is what we do for plural words, which God’s name is in Torah), i.e. God of Abraham becomes Elohei Avraham. also can be of my – See Elohim for more info click here
