3:1 Then we turned, and went up the on road to Bashan and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to war [at] Edrei.
3:2 And YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

3:4 And we captured all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we didn’t take from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
3:5 All these cities [were] fortified with high walls, doors, and bars ; beside a great many unwalled towns .
3:6 And we completely destroyed them, like we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, completely destroying every city ,the men, women, and children.
3:7 But all the cattle, and the plunder of the cities, we took as a plunder for ourselves.
3:8 At that time we took out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that were on the other side of the Jordan, from Arnon Brook to Mount Hermon ;
3:9 (the Sidonians would refer to Hermon as Sirion ; and the Amorites called it Shenir; )
3:10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gileadגִּלְעָד
or Gilad (/ˈɡɪliəd/; Gilʿāḏ) is the ancient, historic, biblical name of the mountainous northern part of the region of Transjordan. The region is bounded in the west by the Jordan River, in the north by the deep ravine of the river Yarmouk and the region of Bashan, and in the southwest by what were known during antiquity as the “plains of Moab”, with no definite boundary to the east., and all Bashan, to Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
3:11 Because only Og king of Bashan remained of the rest of the Rephaimרְפָאִים

3:14 Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob to the border of Geshuri and Maachathi ; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, to today.
