Deuteronomy Chapter 15

The seventh year and manner of release

15:1 At the end of [every] seven years you will make a release.
15:2 And this [is] the manner of the release Everyone who has a loan to his neighbor shall release [it]; he shall not exact [it] of his neighbor, or of his brother ; because a release has been proclaimed for YAHWEH יְהֹוָה‎

15:8 But you will open your hand wide to him, and will surely lend him enough for his need, [in that] which he lacks.
15:9 Beware that there is no evil thought in your wicked (Belial) heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release draw near ; and your eye be evil against your needy brother, and you give him nothing ; and he cries to YAHWEH יְהֹוָה‎

15:11 For the poor will never cease from the midst of the land. On account of this I command y’all , saying, You will open your hand wide to your poor and to your needy brother, in your land.

Concerning a Hebrew servant

15:12 If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to y’all , and serve y’all six years ; then in the seventh year you will let him go free from y’all .
15:13 And when you send him out free from y’all , you will not let him go away empty
15:14 You will furnish him liberally out of your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and out of your winepress [with that] which YAHWEH יְהֹוָה‎
