Genesis Chapter 46

Israel moves to Egypt

46:1 AND Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaacיִצְחָק
(Yīṣḥāq) meaning “he will laugh”, reflecting the laughter, in disbelief, of Abraham and Sarah, when told by God that they would have a child.

46:3 And he said, I [am] God, the God of your father fear not to go down into Egypt ; for I will there make of you a great nation
46:4 I will go down with you into Egypt ; and I will also surely bring you up [again] and Josephיוֹסֵף

46:33 And it shall happen, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What [is] your occupation ?
46:34 That you shall say, Your servants’ trade has been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, [and] also our fathers that you may stay in the land of Goshenאֶרֶץ גֹּשֶׁן
