33:1 AND YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

33:2 And I will send an angelמַלְאָךְ

33:3 To a land flowing with milk and honey for I won’t go up among you; because you [are] a stiff-necked people I might annihilate you on the wayבַּדָּרֶךְ

33:4 And when the people heard this evil news, they mourned and no one put on his jewelry.

33:6 And the Children of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל

each man stood [at] his tentאָהֳלוֹ

33:9 And it so happened, when Mosesמשה

, the pillar of cloud would descend, and stand [at] the entrance of the Tentהָאֹהֶל

33:10 And all the people would see the
pillar of cloud standing [at] the entrance of the Tentהָאֹהֶל

 and all the people got up and prostrate themselves, everyone at the entrance of his tent.

33:11 YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

33:12 And Mosesמֹשֶׁה

33:13 So now, please , if I have found favor in Your eyes, make  your wayדְּרָכֶךָ

known to me now, [so] that I know you , that I may find favor in your eyes and see that this nation [is] your people.
33:14 And he said, My Presence shall go [with you ], and I will give you rest.
33:15 And he said to him, If your Presence doesn’t go along, don’t make us go on from here.
33:16 How shall it be known here that I and your people have found favor in Your eyes ? Unless you go with us?  And I and your people will be made distinct from all the other people on the face earth.

Moses asks to see God’s glory


33:17 And YAHWEH יְהֹוָה

33:18 And he said, I beg You , show me Your glory.
33:19 And he said, I will make all My goodnessטוּבִי

33:20 And he said, You can’t see my face because
no human can see me, and live.

33:22  When My glory passes by, that I will put you in a crevice in the rockהַצּוּר
